Gallop into the festive season with feast of abundance in KL


Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is offering ‘Gallop into Fortune’ at Nook.

This Chinese New Year, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral invites guests to celebrate with “Gallop into Fortune” at Nook, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant.

Guests can look forward to crowd-pleasing highlights such as Osmanthus Butter-Fried Tiger Prawns, Reunion Braised Chicken with Dried Oyster and Fatt Choy, a Fortune Carving Station featuring a variety of roasted meats, Claypot Chicken Rice with Braised Mushrooms, and a DIY yee sang station inviting guests to toss for prosperity.

“In Chinese culture, we believe food brings people together,” said executive Chinese chef Ng Kok Wai.

“This year, we celebrate unity and abundance with bold flavours and time-honoured techniques, crafted for sharing at Nook.”

The buffet offerings at Nook include The Lucky Stride Buffet from Jan 15 to Feb 21 (Thursday to Saturday), 6pm to 10pm at RM168nett per person, Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner Buffet on Feb 16, 6pm to 10pm at RM188nett per person and Chinese New Year Day 1 and Day 2 Lunch Buffet (Feb 17 and 18), noon to 3pm, RM158nett per person.

Guests who dine in at Nook during the Lunar New Year festivities can experience “Lucky Bowl”, a dining pop-up by Ng.

He will present a special lineup that gives guests the opportunity to savour his festive delicacies, where time-honoured flavours meet his unique touch.

Menu highlights include Steamed Mantou with Roasted Duck and Turmeric Sauce, featuring soft, fluffy buns paired with flavourful duck, as well as Steamed Red Snapper with Signature Chilli Sauce, offering tender fish served with a spicy-savoury sauce.

These dishes are available alongside Nook’s Chinese New Year offerings.

Guests can also bring the festive spirit home with the hotel’s “Lucky Strides To-Go” offerings, perfect for intimate reunion dinners and celebratory gatherings where one can choose between the Authentic Roasted Duck Set Menu at RM288nett or the Roasted Goma Nori Chicken Set Menu at RM228nett.

The set menus feature a variety of signature dishes, including Fragrant Seaweed Fried Rice with Flower Squid and Onions, Beijing-style Jiaozi, Golden Pumpkin and Trio Mushrooms with Surimi Sauce and Golden Yuan Bao Sesame Custard Puff.

Guests can elevate their celebrations with the “Toss to Prosperity” curated selection of artisanal yee sang.

Highlights are Golden Horse Yee Sang with Abalone and Salmon, Pearl Horse Yee Sang with Snow Crab, and Jade Horse Yee Sang with Macadamia Nuts and Wakame, with prices starting from RM108nett.

“Lucky Strides To-Go” and “Toss to Prosperity” will be available for pre-order from Jan 15 to Feb 18.

All takeaway orders must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
