Cops wrapping up probe into claims against male artist

KUALA LUMPUR: Investigations into provocative allegations regarding a male artist are nearing completion, according to police.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman stated at a press conference that the investigation paper will be sent to the deputy public prosecutor's office as soon as it is completed.

Previously, acting Kuala Lumpur police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad noted that a report by the male artist was lodged on July 18.

The report indicated that the complainant was unhappy following allegations and insinuations that were uploaded on a social media platform.

In an unrelated matter, the police have recorded statements from two additional individuals in the ongoing investigations into an alleged attack by a veteran artist.

"The statements were recorded yesterday," he said.

On July 10, singer Shila Amzah filed a police report alleging she was attacked by a legendary singer.

Shila later confirmed that the individual in question was Amy, the father of actress Nabila Huda. The police have taken statements from both parties.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident stemmed from Amy's dissatisfaction with Shila, who was accused of interfering in his family affairs.
