Cops continue probe into Shila’s case

PETALING JAYA: Two statements have been recorded so far as police continue their probe into allegations that singer Shila Amzah was assaulted by a veteran rock star.

The police said more witnesses would be called in soon, Sinar Harian reported.

“The motive is being investigated. The statement of the allegedly implicated individual has yet to be taken,” said Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Comm Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad.

This comes after Shila, 34, claimed she was assaulted by a singer during a rehearsal for a concert.

She lodged a report at the Dang Wangi police headquarters on Thursday evening.
