Police to call more witnesses in Shila Amzah assault probe

KUALA LUMPUR: Police say more witnesses will be called before the investigation paper on the alleged assault involving singer Shila Amzah and another veteran artiste can be finalised.

“We have submitted the investigation paper to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP), but it was sent back for further action. As such, we now have to investigate the actions of the veteran artiste as well,” said acting Kuala Lumpur police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad.

“There are two more witnesses we need to interview before we can complete the investigation,” he told a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters.

He added that the incident was considered a domestic matter and that no one was physically injured.
