Pupils taking SPM Tamil paper get free workbooks

SECONDARY students who will be taking the Tamil subject for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) exams next year will receive free workbooks from Makkal Osai.

The daily reported the workbook was authored by long-time Tamil educator Vigneswari Sambasivam and covers all sections of the exam paper, along with past year question-and-answer guides.

The Selangor Education Department’s Tamil school coordinator V. Chenguttuvan will help distribute the books.

Vigneswari presented the books to Chenguttuvan during a ceremony last week attended by secondary school Tamil teachers, representing each district in Selangor.

Beruas IPF chairman Kanthasamy Vadivelu said the division has been given the opportunity to host this year’s event which will be officiated by the Perak Mentri Besar’s special adviser and Pengkalan Baharu assemblyman Datuk Abdul Manap Hashim.

IPF president T. Loganathan will be in attendance and will speak on the party’s long-term plans and vision.
