KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 43 men have been detained so far in connection with an attack on an entertainment outlet in Taman Shamelin, Cheras.
It was learnt that 35 of them would be remanded on Wednesday (April 8).
Another suspect, who was arrested on Monday, would also have his remand extended.
Another seven men have been released on police bail.
All the suspects, aged between their 20s and 40s, including the alleged mastermind behind the attack, were detained in several operations carried out around the Klang Valley from Monday (April 6) until early Wednesday morning.
During the operations, police also seized a lorry in Taman Orkid, Cheras, which was believed to have led to the arrests of the suspects involved in the attack.
Authorities also confiscated weapons allegedly used in the incident, including iron rods and wooden sticks.
The Kuala Lumpur police chief is expected to hold a press conference later today to reveal the motive and provide further details of the incident.
On Sunday (April 5), a large group of men attacked the entertainment outlet at about 1.30pm.
