KUALA LUMPUR: OPPO Malaysia joined forces with the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) to launch their Community Fire Learning Centre (CFLC) at Sri Hartamas fire and rescue station, marking a meaningful step forward in their ongoing commitment to community empowerment, education and public engagement.

Established as part of OPPO Malaysia’s corporate social responsibility efforts, the CFLC aims to provide a more conducive and engaging learning environment for children in the surrounding community.

It will also serve as a platform to nurture greater awareness, preparedness and appreciation for the vital role of Malaysia’s fire and rescue services.

To further enhance the learning experience at the CFLC, OPPO Malaysia additionally contributed 12 units of OPPO Pad SE and two units of OPPO A6 5G, which will support interactive learning, improve access to digital resources and enrich educational activities for young visitors.

The opening of the CFLC marks the next chapter of this collaboration, highlighting a shared commitment to community engagement through meaningful, people-centric initiatives.

The programme featured the official unveiling and tour of the CFLC, along with hands-on learning sessions led by Reno Guru-Guru for the students in attendance.

“This centre represents the kind of impact we hope to create through our partnerships — one that is people-centred, community-focused and meaningful,” said OPPO Malaysia chief marketing officer Monica Chin.

“We are pleased to continue to work with the JBPM to bring truly impactful initiatives such as this to life, for the benefit of children and their families, as greater safety and awareness benefits all in the surrounding community,” she added.

The CFLC reflects OPPO Malaysia’s belief that technology and collaboration can play a meaningful role in community development.

By working closely with JBPM, OPPO aims to help create a space where children and families can learn, engage and grow in an environment that supports both education and public awareness.

“This initiative shows how public-private collaboration can bring meaningful benefits to the community,” said Fire and Rescue Department director-general Datuk Seri Nor Hisham Mohammad.

“Such programmes help us engage the public through interactive and educational experiences.

“We sincerely appreciate OPPO Malaysia for their ongoing support and commitment to community-focused initiatives and hope that more private sector will continue to champion such initiatives in the future.”
