Selangor to hold special briefing on Putra Heights gas explosion on July 7

PETALING JAYA: A special briefing on the gas pipe explosion in Putra Heights will be held on Monday (July 7) for all MPs and state assemblymen, says Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

He announced this during a briefing on upcoming bills and the pre-council meeting with Selangor State Assembly members.

“This special briefing will be open to all elected representatives, regardless of whether they are from the Government or the Opposition,” he said in a Facebook post on Friday (July 7).

Amirudin also said he had requested the Speaker to allow the state government to provide an official explanation on the issue during the next sitting.

“The Selangor state government stands firmly on the principles of accountability, transparency and responsibility.

"We uphold the trust and mandate given to us by the people,” he added.
