Putra Heights inferno: No foul play or negligence found, say cops


PETALING JAYA: No elements of foul play, sabotage or negligence have been identified in the Putra Heights fire recently, says Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.

In the gas pipeline fire on April 1, flames rose more than 30m high with temperatures reaching over 1,000°C and took almost eight hours to be completely extinguished.

The incident completely destroyed 81 homes with structural damage exceeding 40%, partially damaged 81 homes and another 57 homes were affected but not burned. Another 218 homes were unaffected.
