Putra Heights gas explosion full technical report to be ready by June 26, says Amirudin

SHAH ALAM: The full technical report on the Putra Heights gas explosion is expected to be ready by June 26, says Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

“We can’t release the criminal investigation report yet because we need to combine it with the technical report.

“All matters to identify soil movement, pipe damage, and the possibility of external activities contributing to the incident would be in the scope of the technical report,” he said when met after an e-bike handing over ceremony at the Selangor police headquarters today.

The gas pipeline fire on April 1 caused widespread destruction.

A total of 81 homes were reported to have been destroyed, with more than 40% structural damage, another 81 were partially destroyed, 57 were affected but not burned, while 218 homes, including those in Kampung Tengah Puchong, were unaffected.

Also present at the event was Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.
