SAMSUNG Electronics has unveiled its most complete foldable lineup yet, designed to expand foldables to a wider audience.
The lineup introduces three distinct devices: Galaxy Z Fold8 for immersive content discovery, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra for maximum productivity and Galaxy Z Flip8 for self-expression on-the-go.
Galaxy AI has been tailored and optimised to each form factor, as multitasking is easier on the larger Fold8 screens, while Flip8's AI-native FlexWindow keeps information and shortcuts within reach.
Meanwhile, partner AI experiences such as Gemini Intelligence help users complete tasks in fewer steps, with transparency, privacy and user control built in.

Galaxy Z Fold8: Built for discovery
The Fold8 introduces a new form factor and display ratios designed around how people naturally consume content throughout the day.
When folded, the 10:16 cover screen suits quick tasks like messaging and browsing while the 4:3 main display creates a larger canvas for gaming and films – and when rotated, that same ratio becomes comfortable for reading articles and e-books.
At just 201g, Fold8 is Samsung's lightest Z Fold yet, pairing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform with a larger 4,800mAh battery.
The main screen also reaches up to 3,000 nits of brightness with Vision Booster and a low-reflection display finish for enhanced outdoor visibility.
On the camera side, dual 50MP wide and ultra-wide sensors deliver consistent detail, while Dual Recording enables users to capture both sides of a moment at once while previewing themselves from the cover screen, and My FanCam automatically tracks a subject and reframes footage for social-ready videos with less manual editing.
Additionally, Samsung's new Flex Titanium technology is integrated across the new Galaxy Z series, combining a titanium-alloy film and plate to make the devices thinner, more durable and smoother to unfold, with reduced crease visibility.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: Built for maximum productivity
At just 4.1mm unfolded and weighing 215g, with an expansive 8-inch main display for multitasking, the Fold8 Ultra brings Galaxy's Ultra standard for performance, capability and innovation to foldables in Samsung's slimmest Z Fold design yet.
Its camera system is also Ultra-grade, featuring a 200MP main sensor now with HDR support, a new 50MP ultra-wide camera for wider scenes and macro shots, improved low-light Nightography and 8K video via a new APV codec for improved editing, with Cine LUT for cinematic colour grading.
Powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, the Fold8 Ultra adds a larger 5,000mAh battery, a new dual-path 45W fast-charging architecture and an expanded graphite cooling structure to stay responsive under heavy workloads.
Galaxy Z Flip8: The sleekest flip yet
Designed around quick interactions, personal expression and AI-native experiences, the Flip8 is Samsung's lightest and slimmest Flip phone yet, at just 180g and 6.1mm thick.
Its reimagined FlexWindow acts as an AI-native everyday interface, bringing apps, insights and actions to the cover screen, helping users access information, features and connected tasks in fewer steps.
The Now Brief also delivers timely insights on the FlexWindow home screen, while Gemini Intelligence automation is accessible via side-key activation or natural voice requests.
A key feature of the Flip8 is its FlexCam, which upgrades the signature Flip selfie experience – without the need for extra equipment.
This is done via a 50MP ProVisual Engine camera, Flex Mode for hands-free shooting, Camcorder Grip with Zoom Rocker for stable handheld shots, Super Steady with a new Horizontal Lock option and FlipShot for customisable mirror-view selfies.
Agentic AI across the lineup
As the most personal device people carry, a phone has become the primary entry point where AI meets users, and the new Galaxy Z series sets the tone for the next generation of mobile AI experiences.
Galaxy AI now works across more apps and services, with experiences optimised for foldable form factors.
Now Brief helps users stay informed by delivering personalised routine-based insights, and security and privacy alerts.
Meanwhile, Now Nudge helps turn insights into actions. The feature is able to suggest next steps, like checking a schedule or saving a location, as plans begin to take shape in a conversation.
Gemini Intelligence now automates tasks across more than 40 apps and services, from ticket lookups to restaurant bookings, while Gemini Notebook lets users combine notes, files and recordings into one workspace with drag-and-drop support.
These AI experiences extend across Galaxy Watch Ultra2, Watch9 series and upcoming intelligent eyewear.
Security and privacy built in
Samsung Knox protects the devices from the chip up, with Personal Data Engine enabling on-device personalisation, Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection securing app-specific data and Knox Vault safeguarding sensitive information.
One UI 9 also introduces an AI Assistant Activity dashboard for reviewing automations in one place, plus enhanced privacy alerts that flag risky background permission attempts.
These updates build on Galaxy’s existing security and privacy portfolio, which includes Auto Blocker, Theft Protection, Private Sharing, Secure Wi-Fi and more
Switching from iOS is now easier than ever, thanks to a more seamless migration experience across a wider range of devices.
The updated Smart Switch lets iOS users transfer data – including passwords, passkeys, call history and eSIM data – via QR code without the need for extra apps. Now, Quick Share also works with AirDrop for two-way file sharing between iOS and Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8 are available for pre-order in select markets till August 13.
The Fold8 Ultra variants are priced at RM10,499 (1TB), RM8,899 (512GB) and RM8,099 (256GB), while the Fold8 is available from RM9,699 (1TB), RM8,099 (512GB) and RM7,299 (256GB). The Flip8 is available from RM6,199 (512GB) and RM5,399 (256GB).
Customers can enjoy a suite of exclusive launch rewards worth up to RM1,950 for the Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra.
All models come in Graphite and Cream, with exclusive colours like Violet Shadow for the Fold8 Ultra, Lavender for the Fold8 and Pink for the Flip8.
