Coca-Cola Malaysia and Alam Flora Environmental Solutions Sdn Bhd are bringing Recycle Me! 2026 to eight communities in Kuala Lumpur.
With the support of Kuala Lumpur City Hall, the programme aims to encourage greater participation in the recovery of eligible PET bottles and aluminium cans for recycling.
The materials will then be channelled back into the value chain.
According to a 2021 article published by the Malaysia Investment Development Authority, approximately 82.5% of waste generated in Malaysia was disposed of in landfills.
This waste often includes recyclable materials such as PET bottles and aluminium cans, highlighting the need for improved recycling systems and responsible disposal behaviours.
“As Coca-Cola Malaysia celebrates 90 years in the country, we remain focused on initiatives that create a positive change in the communities we serve,” said Coca-Cola Malaysia public affairs, communications, and sustainability director Selena Tan.

“Through Recycle Me! 2026, we hope to make participation in recycling more accessible for residents by bringing collection opportunities closer to where they live.”
Under Recycle Me! 2026, monthly collection activities and recycling education programmes will be held at eight People’s Housing Programme (PPR) communities from now till April 2027.
To encourage active participation, there will be rewards and a celebration for the top-performing community.
Besides recovering valuable materials, this initiative has a broader purpose – to provide insights that can inform a scalable model for community recycling across the country.
Launched in 2023, Recycle Me! initially focused on PET collection through retail collection points at AEON outlets across Klang Valley. In 2026, Coca-Cola Malaysia has expanded the scope to include aluminium cans alongside PET bottles.
By bringing recycling opportunities closer to where people live, Recycle Me! 2026 seeks to make participation more accessible and foster long-term recycling habits within communities, helping to keep valuable materials in circulation while contributing to cleaner, more liveable neighbourhoods across Malaysia.
