DBKL takes action against unlicensed foreign traders

THE first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri saw Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) seizing goods from unlicensed foreign traders during an operation carried out in several locations around the city.

Enforcement officers took action against nine vendors at Jalan Silang, Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Khoo Teok Ee on Monday (March 31).

The foreign nationals were selling various types of food and beverages.

“Immediate action was taken by seizing the items under the Licensing of Hawkers (WPKL) By-laws 2016,” DBKL said in a statement.

All items involved were sent to its storage facility in Taman Miharja for processing and documentation, DBKL added.
