Forest fire erupts near Denai Alam toll plaza


SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department has confirmed a forest fire involving an estimated 2ha of land near the Denai Alam toll plaza along the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) on Monday (Jan 26) afternoon.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations division assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the department received an emergency call at 12.58pm, prompting eight officers and personnel from the Bukit Jelutong Fire and Rescue Station to be dispatched.

"All officers and personnel rushed to the scene with a fire engine and water tanker, arriving at 1.22pm," he said in a statement.

He added that the fire was brought under control at 3.40pm, but firefighting operations were ongoing as of 5pm. - Bernama
