MetMalaysia warns of bad weather in five states as well as KL

PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds have been forecast in several states in Peninsular Malaysia, including Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

In an advisory issued by the Meteorological Department at 8.40am on Friday (Nov 21), thunderstorms are expected over the states of Perak, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

Also affected are Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, and Hulu Langat) and Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol and Tampin) as well as the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Other areas are Perak (Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak), Melaka (Alor Gajah and Jasin), and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, and Kulai).

The advisory is until 1pm today.
