KUALA LUMPUR: Disagreements with his family led to British national David Balisong’s disappearance, police say.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus, in a statement on Friday (Sept 5), said this was what David told the police after he was found.
Based on preliminary statements, the teenager is said to have left his home after a disagreement with his family and fled to Malaysia on June 6.

Police are in the process of obtaining further statements from him.
David was found in Kuala Lumpur at a budget hotel on Thursday evening (Sept 4).
Activist Chee Heng Kuan, also known as Uncle Kentang, shared photos of David reuniting with his family on his social media page.
