Cryptic FB post raises concerns over fate of MIC

A CRYPTIC Facebook post by Datuk Seri M. Saravanan has sent speculation into overdrive recently, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The MIC deputy president, who is also the Tapah MP, wrote in Tamil on his social media page that some problems are not caused by circumstances but could be the work of wolves pretending to be friendly dogs.

Most of the responses to the post called for the revival of MIC to its previous position of influence.

Many have speculated that the post was related to recent issues facing the Indian community.

Saravanan’s post comes soon after criticism by Perikatan Nasional chairman and Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin that the Indian community has no credible leaders as MIC continues to stay with Barisan Nasional as part of the unity government.

The daily said that as Barisan’s influence has waned, so has MIC, which has been left behind in mainstream politics, especially in the eyes of the Indian community.

As to who the wolves were, the leaders who spoke to the daily preferred to leave it to the public to decide.
