Newborn girl found abandoned outside Ampang house

KUALA LUMPUR: A newborn baby girl was found inside a rubbish bin outside a house in Taman Putra Ampang.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Khairul Anuar Khalid said that police were alerted by a complainant yesterday after he made the discovery.

“The baby girl was taken to Ampang Hospital and is in stable condition. She is currently receiving treatment and being monitored there.

“Based on investigations, we believe the baby was about four hours old when she was found, as her umbilical cord was still attached,” he said in a statement.
