Eric See-To admits to being "Lim Sian See" during debate with Rafizi


PETALING JAYA: Former Barisan Nasional (BN) strategic communication deputy director Datuk Eric See-To has confirmed that he is the owner of the "Lim Sian See" Facebook account.

See-To said this during a debate with Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli on his podcast “Yang Bakar Menteri”, which was released on Monday (Sept 30).

Rafizi also said that those who had wished to file reports against the anonymous "Lim Sian See" could do so now after See-To had outed himself.

The minister, who released the long awaited face-to-face debate with the online personality, said that since his real identity had been revealed, See-To could no longer hide behind his online persona.

See-To, meanwhile, responded by saying that he had not said anything false or against the law.

"If I had written on the Lim Sian See page anything that was false, against the law or if I had twisted the facts, please take action against me. Until now, no one has done so because I provided all the facts," See-To said.

In response, Rafizi said that nobody could do so in the past because they did not know his true identity.

"Before this, when the account was 'fake', of course no action could be taken. Now, I feel that the whole of Malaysia knows that Lim Sian See is actually Eric See-To," he said.

The debate, which lasted almost an hour, touched on various subjects, including 1MDB and Rafizi's previous calculations for fuel prices.

See-To, via the Lim Sian See Facebook page, has been critical of Rafizi, leading to various online spats throughout the years.
