Hong Kong actor Eric Tsang saw his appearance in a recent charity football match cut short after he took a tumble just one minute into the game.
The 73-year-old was part of the Hong Kong Celebrity Football Team.
According to the portal Dimsum Daily, Tsang started the match energetically, wearing a jersey with the number eight.
A former professional footballer in the early 1970s before becoming a stuntman, he was once known for his skills on the field.
However, he suddenly lost his footing and fell to the turf, alarming both the audience and fellow players. His teammates, Michael Miu and Alan Tam, quickly rushed to his side.
It was later revealed that Tsang’s fall was caused by his ageing football boots coming apart during play. He was forced to exit the game soon after.
Aside from some embarrassment, Tsang was reportedly unhurt.
Speaking about the incident later, he laughed it off, explaining that the sole of his boot had deteriorated and come loose due to oxidation.
The team’s official social media account also made light of the situation, joking that years of preparation had resulted in a one-minute appearance.
