BATU PAHAT: Two motorcyclists were killed on the spot in an accident involving five motorcycles and a car at KM 88.2 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) northbound.
Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulanuar Mushaddat Abdullah Sani said the incident happened on Sunday (Sept 8) at 7.30pm.
“They were riding from Ayer Hitam towards Yong Peng when they lost control of their motorcycles and hit the rear part of a moving car on the left lane,’’ he said in a statement today (Sept 9).
ACP Shahrulanuar Mushaddat said both of them fell on the road and were rammed by three motorcycles that were travelling in the same direction.
“The two victims suffered serious head injuries while the three motorcyclists broke their arms,’’ he said.
ACP Shahrulanuar Mushaddat said the three motorcyclists were sent to Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail for treatment while the car driver escaped unhurt.
He said the deceased was identified as Muhammad Shahrin Asmadi, 19, from Kampung Pasir Putih, Pasir Gudang and 22-Muhammad Asyraf Hussin from Taman Bunga Raya, Masai, Pasir Gudang.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
