Sarawak Polls: Multi-cornered fight shaping up in Dudong

KUCHING: Independent candidate Engga Unchat has arrived at Sibujaya Public Library, the nomination centre for the Dudong state seat.

He will be contesting against Gabungan Parti Sarawak's Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing and five others for the seat.

Another Independent candidate, Fadhil Mohamad Isa arrived at the nomination centre at 8.15am.

Meanwhile, GPS candidate for Baleh, Nicholas Kudi Maseng has arrived at the nomination centre at SMK Kapit 2.

Also seen at the nomination centre is Kenneth Usang George, the DAP candidate for the Baleh seat.

Election Commission (EC) chairman, Datuk Ghani Salleh, in a press conference later, announced that only the Dudong seat will witness an eight-cornered fight.

The candidates are Tiong, Wong Hie Ping of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB); Jane Lau Sung Yee of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK); Julius Enchana Jasper Ancho (Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru, PBDSB); Paul Ling Fong (DAP) and Josephine Lau Kiew Peng of Parti Aspirasi Rakyat Sarawak.

Also competing are Independents Fadhil and Engga .
