GPS supporters waiting for arrival of Gedung candidate Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

GEDONG: It's a rainy morning in the small town of Gedong, in the Serian division, some 85km from the capital city of Kuching.

Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate in Gedong.

The PBB president was the Satok assemblyman since 1981, before moving here.

Although processions and gatherings are not allowed due to Covid-19 standard operating procedures, supporters decked in party outfits were seen having breakfast in the vicinity of the Gedong Community Hall, where the nomination process is set to be held.
