Ahmad Faizal Azumu loses motion of confidence in Perak state assembly


IPOH: Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu has lost a motion of confidence in him as the Perak Mentri Besar at the State Assembly here on Friday (Dec 4).

He received ten votes in favour, while 48 voted against him and one abstained.

State Opposition leader Dr Abdul Aziz Bari called for a bloc vote of confidence and was supported by Umno's Bukit Chandan assemblyman, Maslin Sham Razman.

The Perak State Assembly is made up of 25 Umno assemblymen, 16 from DAP, five from Bersatu, five from Amanah, three from Keadilan, three from PAS, one from Gerakan and and one independent assemblyman.
