Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has carried out three enforcement operations this month against heavy vehicles parked in prohibited areas, unlicensed business premises and unregistered telecommunications structures.
In a Sept 16 operation, six container trailers were towed away during an integrated enforcement operation with the police and Road Transport Department (JPJ) along Jalan Persiaran Sepang in Sections 27 and 28, Shah Alam.
The trailers were towed to the city council depots in Section 17 and Section 31, in the operation led by Rozaidi Ahmat
During the same operation, eight compounds were issued by JPJ while the police slapped five compounds on individuals for various other offences.
MBSA said the operation was carried out to ensure compliance with regulations, safety and smooth flow of traffic.
In its social media post, MBSA said the integrated enforcement operations would continue and also advised heavy vehicle owners and drivers to comply with regulations and avoid parking in prohibited areas.
MBSA also carried out an operation on Sept 11 against unlicensed business premises operated by foreigners in Taman Subang Perdana at Section U3 of Shah Alam.
Goods were confiscated from the illegal businesses.
The city council said enforcement action was taken under by-laws covering the licensing of trades, businesses and industries, beauty and healthcare centres, as well as food establishments.
During an earlier operation on Sept 9 and 10, MBSA demolished fences and cut electricity supply to unregistered telecommunications towers and transmitter structures.
The operation was conducted in Section 7, Kampung Melayu Subang and Jalan 4D in Section U6.
