ONE of Malaysia’s earliest homegrown logistics players, Central Forwarding Agency (CFA), is commemorating its 70th anniversary, marking seven decades of evolution from a pioneering local forwarding agent into a fully integrated logistics solutions provider.
Founded by two families in 1956, CFA started with a single warehouse in Port Klang.
Today, the company has grown into a recognised industry player, offering comprehensive logistics and supply chain services by land, air and sea.
While its capabilities and scale have evolved significantly, one principle has remained constant: delivering reliable logistics solutions that customers can depend on.
Building from the ground up
CFA began as a customs broker and land transporter, supporting early trade activities in Port Klang, now the world’s 10th busiest port.
The company now serves diverse industries, including agriculture, chemicals, electronics, FMCG, manufacturing, retail and much more, providing tailored solutions to meet their varying requirements.
CFA has built long-standing relationships with over 600 clients, many of whom have retained the firm as a trusted logistics partner over decades.

Connecting Malaysia’s supply chains
As a licensed customs broker, CFA has longstanding expertise in managing import, export and transshipment cargo, including bonded and dangerous goods, while navigating complex regulatory and documentation requirements.
The company owns and operates 18 warehouses with approximately 1.38 million sq ft of storage space in 12 locations across Port Klang.
The facilities cater to a wide range of cargo, including halal products, and support various value-added logistics services.
A further 200,000 sq ft warehouse development is also in the pipeline, scheduled for completion in 2028.
Complementing its warehousing network is CFA’s fleet of 213 vehicles, supporting container haulage, inter-state trucking, first-mile to last-mile delivery, and bulk and oversized cargo.
Technology further strengthens CFA’s operations, with live GPS fleet monitoring, customised warehouse and transport management software, integrated in-house coordination systems, and digital connectivity with customs and port partners, providing greater visibility across the supply chain.
