PLAYGROUND refurbishment and road resurfacing works at Hospital Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin in Kajang, Selangor, have been completed at a cost of RM77,000.
Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan said he used his allocation under Projek Mesra Rakyat to provide comfort to the hospital’s visitors and patients.
“The allocation was necessary due to the high number of visitors to the hospital, particularly with the addition of a new women’s and children’s block.”
Works included repairing and upgrading a children’s playground, repainting existing equipment, and replacing damaged flooring and roofing.
“In addition, resurfacing works were carried out on the hospital’s surrounding roads,” Syahredzan said during a site visit.
He added that inspections were conducted to ensure the upgrades remained in good condition.
Meanwhile, RM80,000 was allocated for solar streetlights in his constituency.
“RM50,000 was used to instal five units in Jalan Semenyih while RM30,000 was channelled for six units in Bangi Ramah, Desa Sri Bangi and Kampung Bahagia.
“These additional lights will improve safety and provide better illumination in residential areas,” he said.
Also present was Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) Zone 7 councillor Nor Zulaila Abd Ghani.
