The programme then moved into the debate session, where state representatives, including the mentri besar and chief minister of Pakatan-led states, delivered their speeches.

According to Pakatan communications director Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, the main speeches by DAP and Amanah’s top leadership will commence after lunch at 2pm, followed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s keynote speech to wrap up the convention.

Anwar, also Pakatan chairman, is expected to address the coalition’s direction heading into the upcoming Johor and Melaka state polls, as well as preparations for the 16th General Election.

Meanwhile, some members have complained of a water disruption at the venue since this morning.

Washroom staff have advised them to use bottled water.

Earlier, there was also a five-minute blackout in the dining area on the lower ground.
