THE list of candidates contesting in the Melaka state election is expected to be announced within the next two weeks, says Pakatan Harapan (PH) election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
The Selangor Mentri Besar said PH's election machinery was ready and had been mobilised over the past two months.
"Our election machinery is ready to move. The question now is on political understanding," Amirudin said on Saturday (Oct 3).
"We are open to discussions if there is room for that. If there isn't, we are ready to contest based on existing capacity and agreements," he added.
He said this when asked to comment on PAS reiterating its stance against cooperating with PH in the upcoming Melaka state election.
Amirudin said the political situation was fluid, with each party looking for the best solutions and partners to secure the best outcomes.
"It's a trial and error process to test which cooperation works and which doesn't," he said.
The Melaka state assembly was dissolved on Sept 23 to pave the way for state polls.
Amirudin was speaking after the launch of the Tuaian Anak Harapan Tawas programme at KSL Convention Centre in Klang.
