Human Resources Ministry unveils Pace initiative with RM100mil allocation

KUALA LUMPUR: The Human Resources Ministry will launch a new national initiative, Progressive Acceleration for Capability and Employability (Pace), with RM100mil to develop human capital and improve workforce employability.

Its minister, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, said the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) will implement the initiative. He said Pace includes 10 programmes.

Ramanan said the programmes cover Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), youth talent development, digital economy transformation, local enterprises, regional development, gig workers, and inclusive communities.

"Pace is a major investment in the future workforce," he said on Sunday (May 17).

He made this statement in an official announcement about the initiative, which has the support of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Ramanan said his ministry expects Pace to strengthen Malaysia's role as a regional talent hub. – Bernama
