In Pahang, the affected districts include Maran, Bera, Pekan and Rompin.

The warning also covers several areas in Selangor, namely Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat, alongside the entirety of Kuala Lumpur.

Residents in Jempol and Tampin in Negeri Sembilan, as well as Jasin in Melaka, should also prepare for severe weather.

A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a period not exceeding six hours for any single release.

The notice was officially issued by the department at 1.45pm on Saturday.
