Spitting water in MRT carriage a chargeable offence


A WOMAN who spat water inside an MRT carriage in Singapore has been charged with public nuisance, Oriental Daily reported.

If convicted, she faces a fine of up to S$2,000 (RM6,220), imprisonment for up to three months, or both.

The prosecution also applied to remand her to the Institute of Mental Health for psychiatric evaluation.

The judge approved the application, ordering her to be remanded for two weeks,

An earlier viral video showed the woman repeatedly drinking and spitting water from a mineral water bottle about 10 times, causing surrounding passengers to keep their distance to avoid being sprayed.

The carriage floor was covered in water stains and the woman even spat water while spinning in circles.

They reported that the women started dancing topless and offering the officers sexual services.
