PM: Govt ready to execute royal directives

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Address of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, will be implemented rigorously by the government, says the Prime Minister.

“It is clear and good, (the government) will implement it firmly,” Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said briefly after speaking at the Asean-Malaysia 2025 Chairmanship appreciation ceremony in Serdang yesterday.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi described the Royal Address as concise and comprehensive, encompassing important matters needing attention.

He said its content was loaded with messages that MPs should focus on during debates on the motion.

“The most important things are included and there should not be disruptions,” he said after attending the opening of Parliament, Bernama reported.

Ahmad Zahid, who is the Rural and Regional Development Minister, said each ministry has specific policies and action plans that will be presented and debated by MPs.
