Weather warning issued for eight states until noon


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather warning, forecasting thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Sabah until noon today.

In a statement on Wednesday (Oct 29), the department specified the affected districts, which include Langkawi, Yan, Kuala Muda, Baling and Kulim in Kedah; Seberang Perai Utara and Seberang Perai Tengah in Penang; as well as Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang in Selangor.

The warning also covers Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau in Negeri Sembilan; Alor Gajah and Melaka Tengah in Melaka; and Tawau, Sandakan and Kinabatangan in Sabah.
