Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds warning in seven states and Labuan until noon


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in seven states and Labuan, until noon on Friday (Oct 24).

The warning affects Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and the Perak districts of Kerian, Larut, Matang & Selama, Manjung, Central Perak, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak.

In Selangor, it involves Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang and Kuala Langat, while in Sarawak, Mukah and Miri (Subis and Miri) are expected to be affected.

In Sabah, the warning covers the interior (Kuala Penyu and Beaufort); West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud); Tawau (Tawau and Lahad Datu); Sandakan (Kinabatangan); and Kudat (Pitas and Kudat); as well as the federal territory of Labuan. - Bernama
