Investigation in Pannir Selvam's case discontinued after no new evidence, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian police have been unable to continue further investigations into the case of Malaysian national P. Pannir Selvam, who is currently awaiting execution in Singapore, due to the lack of new information or evidence.

Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said efforts to obtain fresh evidence, including a visit by NCID to Changi Prison, Singapore on Sept 27, did not find any information that would allow further investigations to be carried out in Malaysia.
