PKR launches Teras, its AI data-driven election system

KLANG: Given the increasingly challenging political environment in the country, PKR has embarked on an initiative using artificial intelligence (AI) to manage its election operations.

The party announced the launch of an integrated system powered by AI dubbed the Teras election system at the Bandar Utama 11 Community Hall in Petaling Jaya on Saturday (May 2).

Teras, conceptualised by party deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar, is a data-driven election campaign operating system.

This will include voter data management, fieldwork and targeted communication.

The system has been formulated for long-term endurance, covering subsequent elections as well as lasting throughout leadership transitions.

"Teras represents a foundational contribution to PKR's future, ensuring the party's organisational strength, data assets and strategic capabilities remain intact and continue to evolve long after any one generation has passed," the party said in a statement on Saturday.

It added that with Teras, PKR has combined its values with technology and the party's machinery to formulate a more organised and responsive political movement to face future challenges.

"Teras also reflects PKR's commitment to internal reform, not only in our policies and struggles but also in the way we work and the way we practise value-based politics," it added.
