Melaka govt's public service delivery records 91.94% satisfaction, says CM

MELAKA: Nine in 10 Melakans are satisfied with the state government's public service delivery, with the state recording a 91.94% satisfaction rate in 2025, says Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.

The Chief Minister said the achievement was a clear indication that the quality of the state's public service delivery had met the expectations of the people.

He said the success was driven not only by the commitment and dedication of state civil servants, but also reinforced through the implementation of the Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) programme, which brings government services directly to targeted communities.

"The true measure of a government's success is not merely how many projects are completed or how much investment is secured.

"The most meaningful measure is when the people themselves say they are satisfied with the government's services and that is thanks to the extraordinary commitment and dedication of the 5,830 civil servants in the state," he told reporters after the Melaka State Public Service Appreciation Ceremony (MAPAN) 2026 at a leading hotel here on Tuesday (June 30).

Ab Rauf said the state government would continue to strengthen its delivery system to ensure services remain efficient, responsive and people-centric.

He also expressed his appreciation to all state civil servants for their steadfast support of the state government's policies and development agenda throughout the past year, saying their efforts had played a key role in improving the quality of services provided to the people.

Ab Rauf also congratulated the 379 recipients of the Excellent Service Award and 39 recipients of the Special Service Award for the 2025 assessment.

"This recognition will serve as a source of motivation for members of the public service to continue striving for excellence while further strengthening public confidence in the government's administration," he added.
