Boy moves hearts with vigil for late best friend

UNABLE to hide his grief, nine-year-old Qarnain visits his best friend’s grave every day, Harian Metro reported.

Abdul Fatah Khairol Rizal, also nine, died after falling into a sewage pit at a school in Lenggeng, Negri Sembilan.

The touching moments were shared on social media by Abdul Fatah’s father, moving many Internet users.

Khoirul Rizal Mustafar, 42, said the pictures were initially sent to him by Qarnain’s father.

“I decided to share these pictures online because I was so touched by the strength of their friendship, even at such a young age,” he said.

According to him, Qarnain had been a close friend of his late son since they became classmates.

“Their class teacher told me that Qarnain used to be a cheerful and an active pupil, but now he has become very quiet.

“I understand how deeply he feels the loss, so I told his father to encourage and motivate him, as I worry that his grief might linger,” Khoirul Rizal added.
