Sungai Nibong Highway to be closed for four hours on April 20

GEORGE TOWN: The Sungai Nibong Highway, in front of Kristal Point here, will be closed from 11pm on Monday (April 20) to 3am the next day.

The Penang Public Works Department (JKR) said the closure will allow for the dismantling and installation of a new Variable Message Signage (VMS) LED board for Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd.

"The closure will affect the entire stretch of the Sungai Nibong Highway from the Bukit Jambul roundabout towards Queensbay for the dismantling and installation work of the VMS/LED board.

"In view of this, road users are advised to be cautious, slow down their vehicles, and adhere to the safety signages installed in the affected area," JKR said in a statement.

The public, especially motorists, is advised to use alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly. - Bernama
