PUTRAJAYA: The government has agreed to restore the basic monthly eligibility for Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) from 200 litres to 300 litres.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the move would allow more than 16 million eligible users to enjoy subsidised RON95 petrol for up to 300 litres a month.
Meanwhile, more than half a million eligible diesel vehicle owners will be entitled to receive Budi Diesel subsidies for up to 400 litres a month, up from 300 litres previously.
He said the adjustment was part of the government’s efforts to ease the financial burden on Malaysians while ensuring targeted subsidies continued to reach those who qualified.
The measures were announced during the Prime Minister’s National Day 2026 address at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) here on Sunday (Aug 30).
