PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is engaging stakeholders to secure the release of Global Sumud Flotilla volunteers, including Malaysians.

“My team and I are actively engaging with relevant stakeholders, including diplomatic channels, to ensure the immediate release of Malaysian, Asean and international volunteers and activists,” he said on Thursday (Oct 2).

“To the families of all activists and volunteers, may you be granted strength and resilience during this challenging time,” added Anwar.

He said updates on steps towards their release will be shared from time-to-time.

“Let us come together in prayer for the safety and well-being of all detainees, especially our fellow Malaysians,” he said.

Anwar also uploaded a video of his conversation with Sumud Nusantara Command Centre director-general Datuk Dr Ahmad Sani Araby Al‑Kahery.
