BEING a hardworking lorry driver did not stop a bodybuilder from pursuing his dream and winning multiple gold medals in the sport, Makkal Osai reported.

Nithiyananthan Muniandy, who was returning to the sport after a seven-year hiatus, was also recognised with a Come Back King award.

The bodybuilder from Sitiawan, Perak, took home gold medals in the Classic Physique, Open Classic Physique and Bodybuilding Master categories in the FIF King of Bodybuilding competition held in Kedah.

He also received a silver medal in the over-70kg category.

Nithiyananthan dedicated his success to his wife, S. Kavitha, and his mother, M. Indirani, who helped make the win possible with their support.

Meanwhile, Navin Kesavan, who trains at the Bidor-based S.R. Gym, won a silver medal in the Novice Master category and a bronze medal in the Novice Classic category.
