Two motorcyclists die in crash on Second Link Highway in Iskandar Puteri


ISKANDAR PUTERI: Two motorcyclists were killed in a crash after four motorcycles collided with one another along the Second Link Highway here early Wednesday morning (Sept 24).

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said the incident occurred at KM1.7 of the southbound Second Link Highway at about 6.30am.

"Investigations revealed that the accident happened when four motorcycles, which were heading towards Singapore and travelling on the right lane, had collided with one another.

"The impact had caused all four motorcyclists to skid along the road," he said in a statement.

He added that two motorcyclists, a 30-year-old man and 31-year-old man, were pronounced dead at the scene after respectively sustaining severe head injuries.

ACP Kumarasan said the two other victims are receiving treatment in a hospital for their injuries.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
