KOTA TINGGI: A male motorcyclist was killed on the spot after being involved in an accident with a car at KM34, Jalan Sungai Rengit, near here.
Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Yusof Othman said the incident took place on Tuesday (Oct 20) at 8.10am.
The 27-year-old victim was travelling from Kota Tinggi towards Bandar Penawar while the 37-year-old car driver was heading in the opposite direction.
“The accident occurred when the car skidded into the opposite lane and crashed into the motorcycle,” Supt Yusof said in a statement.
The motorcyclist suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the car driver escaped unhurt.
Supt Yusof added that the victim’s body was sent to Kota Tinggi Hospital for autopsy, and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
