Investigation into Pamela's disappearance still active, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 48 individuals have recorded their statements to help the investigation related to the disappearance of Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad said the police were still conducting investigations related to the case, reported Sinar Harian.

"We have made a photofit of the suspect, but so far we have not found a complete match, only a 40% match.

"We have recorded the testimony of 48 witnesses to assist the investigation," he said at a press conference after officiating the 2025 Civilian Youth Inspiration Intellectual Seminar at the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters, here, on Wednesday (July 2).

"We are using various methods, including examining closed-circuit camera (CCTV) recordings to help the investigation," said Mohamed Usuf.

Pamela, 42, was reported missing on April 9 while on her way to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Headquarters in Putrajaya in an e-hailing vehicle. The police report was received at 3.02 pm the same day.

Police previously confirmed the investigation included a review of the woman's last location, including an examination of CCTV footage and information on the e-hailing service used.
