PETALING JAYA: Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman and fiancée Bella Astillah have reignited speculation that wedding bells may be near after sharing a series of wedding-inspired photographs on social media.
Accompanied by the caption, "Love story from KL to London", the photos and videos were posted on their Instagram accounts.
Despite the post appearing to be part of a collaboration with a fashion boutique, the comments section was flooded with well wishes, with many fans expressing hope that the couple's wedding preparations would go smoothly.
"Our questions have been answered. We expected this, but we'll still wait patiently for the wedding date," one user wrote.
"The only fairytale I believe in because this one actually came true. Congratulations to my favourite love story," another user commented.
The post comes after the couple's recent meeting with former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali.
In a post shared on Tuesday (July 21), Bella revealed that the elder statesman had offered the couple valuable marriage advice during the meeting.
Syed Saddiq, who is also Muar Member of Parliament, and Bella announced their engagement on March 28.
Bella was previously married to Singaporean singer and actor Aliff Aziz in 2016.
The couple divorced in 2019, reconciled, and divorced for a second time on June 13, 2024. They have two children together.
