Investigators interview Pamela Ling's children amid ongoing case

KUALA LUMPUR: The police say that the statements of Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh’s children have been recorded.

“It was conducted last night in Singapore at the Woodlands police station. We recorded the statements of her three children and a family friend.

“I have seen the statements, and there were things that would help investigators, including her last known whereabouts on the day of the incident. She was still in contact with family members on that day,” said Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa at a town hall here at the Desa Rejang PPR on Sunday (May 18).

He added that 42 people have had their statements recorded.

Comm Rusdi also stated that records indicated she was still highly likely in the country but did not rule out the possibility of her leaving through illegal routes.

Regarding her husband's detention, Comm. Rusdi said that the police can summon him for statements if necessary.

Pamela’s husband had been arrested on May 15 but was released after the police failed to obtain a remand order.

“It is possible. He can be called back anytime if there are developments,” he said.
