Couple in teen slavery case caught after seven years

A COUPLE in Tamil Nadu were arrested recently after seven years on the run for forcing two teenage girls into sexual slavery, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Their heinous crime started when Thanaletchumi, a married woman, was caught in the act with her boyfriend Anadaraj by a 13-year-old girl who came to her shop to buy some food.

The couple abducted the girl, and Anadaraj raped her to keep her quiet.

They also coerced the girl into luring her 14-year-old friend, who was also sexually assaulted.

The couple then offered the girls to their friends for sex.

They brought the victims to a pastor named Aruldass, who forced them into prostitution.

The girls were later sold to another couple for prostitution.

Eventually the victims managed to escape and made their way to a police station.

The police arrested 17 people, including the pastor, but Thanaletchumi and Anadaraj escaped.

They were finally arrested in Coimbatore.
