Two motorcyclists injured after car runs red light in Seremban

SEREMBAN: Another incident of a car running a red light and crashing into two motorcycles has been reported, following a similar tragic event in Senawang that claimed the lives of three teenagers.

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the recent crash along Jalan Felda Sendayan.

Nilai police chief Supt Abdul Malik Hasim stated that the incident occurred on Monday and a 45-second clip of the crash has since gone viral.

"Preliminary investigations indicate that a car driven by a 38-year-old woman is believed to have run a red light, crashing into the two motorcycles.

"A 21-year-old woman riding one of the bikes sustained serious injuries, while a 52-year-old man on the other motorcycle suffered minor injuries," he said.

The car was traveling from Bandar Sri Sendayan to Nilai, and the motorcyclists were heading to Sendayan from Gadong.

Supt Abdul Malik noted that the car driver was unharmed.

He urged witnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Muhammad Farid Danial Azli at 012-912 2198 to assist in the investigation.

Last Thursday (March 6), two friends aged 15 and 16 were killed when a car driven by an 18-year-old boy allegedly ran a red light at a junction and crashed into their motorcycle in Senawang.

A third victim, aged 17, who was riding another bike and also crashed into the same car, succumbed to his injuries on Monday (March 10).
